Porch and Path

We enjoy mixing plants on arbors and pergolas. On this one we mixed a Red and White Climbing Rose, a Fragrant Honeysuckle Vine and two types of Clematis Sp. They all bloom at different times and give a welcome fragrance as you walk into the back yard. These clients had a small concrete patio behind their house and wanted a space more inviting year round. So we designed and installed this Arched roof Screened Porch with Cedar Beams and Ceiling. We installed Mortared Flagstone on the floor and installed french screen doors out the back yard. The ceiling fans and fireplace place make it inviting in every season. This was a small part of a larger job, but it ended up being my favorite. It’s just a simple pathway, terraced with a stone wall, but we added a mix of ground covers that bloom and smell nice. It’s Creeping Jenny, Blue Star Creeper, and Creeping Thyme. There is also Davidii Viburnum and Becky Daisy on the sides.
